Abstract:
The 41st World Congress of IAHR was held in Singapore from 22–27 June 2025, together with the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) Spotlight.
The theme ofthe Congress was “Innovative Water Engineering for Sustainable Development”. The technical programme
featured a comprehensive and diverse range of topicsthat were categorised into the following key themes:
Sub-Theme A:Water Engineering and Technological Innovations
(1) A.1 Climate Change Mitigation
(2) A.2 Improving Resilience againstWater Hazards and Natural Disasters
(3) A.3 Water Engineering and Society
(4) A.4 Water Engineering for Energy Transition and Food Security
(5) A.5 Digital Transformation
(6) A.6 Experimental and Field Methods
Sub-Theme B: Water Engineering and Socio-Economic Considerations
(1) B.1 Climate Change Adaptation
(2) B.2 Water and Nature
(3) B.3 Hydro-Environment Engineering Culture
The Congress received close to 1300 abstract submissions, resulting in 625 oral presentations and 173 poster presentations.
Additionally,there were 4 High-Level Panels, 49 special sessions, 3masterclasses, 4 workshops, and many exhibition
booths.The total number of international delegates to the Congress exceeded 1350.
