Abstract: This study focuses on the problem of large computational volume of some models in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. For the two-dimensional hydrodynamic and other large-volume computational models, we carry out parallel optimisation and transformation of the models based on the high-performance computational resources of DCUs and carry out simulation calculations to verify the computational efficiency enhancement by simulating the flooding evolution within the scope of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir to the mouth of the sea, which proves that the results of the research can help to improve the decision-making efficiency of the Yellow River Flood Control Consultation, and to provide guarantees for the flood control of the Yellow River beach areas.
