Abstract: This study evaluates the impact of rainfall input methods (Rain-on-Subcatchment [RoS] vs. Rain-on-Grid [RoG]) on urban flood modeling accuracy. Simulating the 2024 flood event in the Sangpyeong district, Jinju, using the KICT-UF model revealed that applying high-resolution radar rainfall (RoG) leads to overestimated inundation areas when precise GIS data on buildings and drainage facilities is absent. These findings suggest that balancing data resolution and model Level of Detail (LOD) is essential for practical urban flood analysis.
