Abstract: A statistical modeling approach is proposed for daily precipitation at the observatories of a region, allowing for the analysis of evidence of a possible change with respect to stationary behavior. The model incorporates the atmospheric situation as an input, using variables from reanalysis, as well as terms that allow the estimation of a change in its relationship linked to a temporal trend not explained by atmospheric variability. The methodology is applied to a database with daily precipitation at stations in the Ebro basin (Spain).
