Abstract: This study investigated the tsunami characteristics of the east coast of the UAE from hypothetical tsunami conditions using numerical modeling and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methods. The results showed that the tsunami depth was highest in Khor Fakkan and Mirbih. While maximum tsunami depths tended to follow a relatively smooth spatial trend, the velocity maxima varied more erratically across different tsunami periods, showing less spatial consistency. ANN results confirmed that the still sea depth and sea bed slope were more important than the tsunami period when predicting the maximum tsunami depth at the shore.
