Abstract: With the support of digital twins, inflow forecasting will gradually become more accurate over time. If the original power generation plans of hydropower stations in the electricity market can be adjusted at appropriate times, the utilization efficiency of water system resources can be improved. To address this issue, this paper proposes a method for adjusting mid- to long-term power generation scheduling plans for cascade hydropower stations, taking settlement rules into account. The method considers both the current and future benefits of cascade hydropower systems and adjusts the plans from two perspectives: mutual support among power stations within the river basin and electricity market trading. A bi-level model is used to simulate both the station's own scheduling process and the behavior of competitors. Case study analysis demonstrates that the proposed method can fully utilize the latest information to enhance the power station’s market revenue.
