Yellow River Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. ('YREC' in short) is known as an investigation, planning and design institute, founded in 1956 under Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources. YREC has developed into an enterprise with comprehensive strength of investigation and design in the scope of river basin and regional planning, and engineering investigation, design, scientific research, consulting, supervision, project management, EPC contracting, investment and operation of projects. YREC is awarded over 10 high-grade qualification certificates such as Class A Certificate in Comprehensive Engineering Design, Class A Certificate in Comprehensive Engineering Investigation, Engineering Consultant Class A for Comprehensive Credit, Qualification in Comprehensive Engineering Supervision, and Qualification in Overseas Project Contracting. Being a national hi-tech firm, YREC has National Enterprise Technology Center, National Center for Quality Supervision and Test, Engineering Technology Center for Ecological Protection and High-quality Development in the Yellow River Basin, and Post-doctoral Programme. YREC has successively completed more than 100 comprehensive and special plans for management and development of the stem and tributaries of the Yellow River represented by the comprehensive planning of the Yellow River Basin and water security planning for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. It has undertaken many large-sized engineering investigation and design projects that are influential in China and overseas, represented by the Yellow River Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project, Guxian Dam Project on the Yellow River, South-to-North Water Diversion Project (Middle and West Routes) and Coca Codo Sinclair Hydropower Project in Ecuador. YREC's projects are spread in over 30 foreign countries and regions.
